Nature Photographers Take Note!
The Veolia WPOTY 2010 competition for Wildlife Photographer of the year seems always to be headlined with controversy! The 2009 winner was stripped of his title for photographing a wolf from Canada Real, a zoological park in Madrid. This year a new rule banning entries shot on digital cameras with less than 10MP has made the fur fly. Will this start a new trend and is this discriminatory against those with low megapixel cameras? Another question to ask is: are megapixels the ultimate arbiter in image quality, if so, why then did Canon lower its resolution on its latest G11 from its older model, the G10?
