OUTING TO KALK BAY HARBOUR: Saturday Morning 26th November 2011
Club members are invited on this "official" CTPS photographic outing to Kalk Bay.
Meet at the parking lot at Kalk Bay Harbour in the morning from 5h30am onwards. At around10am meet at the Harbour House Restuarant overlooking the harbour, to socialise. Kalk Bay Harbour is a working harbour mainly used by fishing boats and sightseers. Fishing boats go out early in the morning weather permitting and return around noon.
There are plenty of photographic opportunities in and around Kalk Bay Harbour at all times of day. The sun hits that part of the coast in the morning when available light is good for photography. The shoreline is lovely in the soft evening light and the activity in the middle of the day, with boats arriving and offloading may not afford the perfect available light but the subject matter is good. Views from Boyes Drive and the colourful huts are two well known photographic subjects in the surrounding area.
