The next E+D evening will be on the 21st February when Tony Bramley will give a critique on member’s images.
It will be our first social event of the year and we would like to meet all our new members in person. So do come along and join us.
March 2024 Competition
The next monthly competition will be held on the 6th March at 7 PM at the SASNEV Hall, 4 Central Square, Pinelands. It will also be streamed via Zoom. Please enter your images via Photovault by the 28th February. The topic for the Set subject is “Stairs and Stairways”. The judges will be Dave Gordon and Trudi du Toit
A total of three images may be entered but a maximum of two PDI entries are possible. The third image should be a print. Only two images may be entered in the Open category. See Photovault for the details.

A new Challenge
Outings
23rd March
On our March outing, we’ll be visiting the Green Point Park as well as surrounding areas. The area provides lots of opportunity for sunsets, seascapes, street photography, long exposures, interesting cafes etc. We will meet at the foot of the Green Point Lighthouse at 4pm on 23 March. Details will be shared closer to the time.
Vernon Chalmers, who led our Bird photography outing last year, availed himself to do a late afternoon / evening shoot on Milnerton Beach. Vernon will go through all the night / manual photography exposure settings and we’ll shoot until an hour or so after sunset. A tripod will be mandatory and the following lenses. 18mm or wider on crop-sensor and 24mm or wider on full frame sensor is suggested. Vernon will confirm the date and time.
