Winning images from December

Set subject: Night Photography

The judge for the last competition of the year was Juan Venter. Only 28 images were entered
in the Set subject which was the lowest for a long time. From January 2022, there will be a
change to the entry requirements for PDI competitions. A maximum of three images will
still be allowed, but only two can be entered in the Open section. The third entry has to be in
the Set subject and must have been taken in the preceding 365 days. We hope that this will
stimulate more entries in the set subjects in the future, comments LESLEY PAROLIS.

There were no promotions this month.

PSSA monthly competition
The CTPS entries were Canola conversion by Kim Stevens (Senior Entry) Serenity by Eric

Decloedt (Junior Entry).
Below are the winners in the various categories together with the judge’s comments.

Set Subject

Winner PDI – Set (Master) Fun at Blue Hour by Kim Stevens (28). This image ticks all the boxes regarding technique and composition.
It is pin sharp with an attractive leading line towards the end of the concrete pier. The blue hour light and colour in the sky round
of an excellent image.
