                       Forthcoming E & D Presentation: 21 June 2023

The Heart of the Photograph – David duChemin

David du Chemin is a best-selling author of 32 books, an award-winning
photographer, and a leading expert in the field of creativity, reports Joyce
          Goldschmidt.
Our June E&D evening will be in the form of a video presentation by David
titled Heart of the Photograph, illustrated by inspiring photographs from
around the world. This virtual lecture is a 90-minute conversation, explor-
ing ten powerful ideas about the creation of more engaging photographs.
David will discuss techniques and ways of thinking about the creation of
images designed to engage human imagination and emotion, and creat-
ing images that are more than just visual, but visceral. He’ll discuss vision
and intent, the use of space and time, the creation of depth, creative point
of view, and other tools and ideas for making photographs that are more
than just ‘of’ something but about something more, something we can
          feel and experience more deeply.
“The best photographs aren't a product of how you use a camera, but of
how you think,” he says. “This is a lecture about learning to think more
intentionally and creatively about the tools you use and the photographs
          you make”.
