The cover image, A gentleman in studio by 14
John Alexander, was captured during a stu-
dio shoot that he arranged.
"The subject was very photogenic and
hence it was not a difficult shoot," says
John. "The model supplied all the outfits". 15
He used a three-light system and light modi-
fiers. The key light was a Godox 90 Octabox
with a grid. This light was placed very close
to the model, but feathered a lot to ensure 16
soft lighting from a large surface.
The fill lights were 2 Godox AD100. These
were placed opposite the key light to soften
shadows.
The pose I wanted was a classic old school
style to capture the personality and cloth- 18 tunities at a single venue.

I prefer to do as little editing as possible and

ing, I used minimal editing on On1.
