Below are the winners in the Open Subject category with the judges' comments.
Winner PDI – Open (Master) Morning Constitutional by Kim Stevens (27). A wonderful en-
vironment has been captured here with the early morning mist prevailing throughout. The
human element, the stark structures and the conversion to monochrome work very well to-
gether, resulting in an image that is full of atmosphere and storytelling.
Winner PDI– Open (Advanced) Berg River Dam by Simon Frank Mouton (27). There is
beautiful symmetry in this image. Very well exposed with excellent colour contrast that give
drama in the sky and beautiful details in the reflection. Well seen and well done.
