WC Forum exhibition Celebration of Photography opens in November

Two years ago the Western Cape clubs presented
on the Western Cape Photography Forum (WCPF)
decided to replace the annual regional Interclub
photographic competition with a Celebration of
Photography (COP) exhibition where images from
all 17 clubs in the region would be on display to
the public.
You may recall that CTPS hosted the first COP exhi-
bition last year at the Groot Constantia Wine Cellar
with prints from 16 adult and 5 scholar clubs in the
peak tourist season from November 2023 to end
January 2024.

This year the event is hosted by Paarl Photographic
Club at the PJ Olivier Art Centre in Stellenbosch from
11-20 November. The exhibition will be opened by
Martin Osner on 9 November and will be open to
16:30 on weekdays. Entrance is free.

CTPS is one of the clubs who entered ten prints
(five junior and five senior) and 20 PDI images for
the revolving digital exhibition.

PSSA monthly results

The image on the left, Overberg Church by
Simon Mouton, was our entry in the October
PSSA Senior Club competition, where it was
awarded 36 points.
Below left is Etosha Giraffes and Sandgrouse
by Tony Edmunds, which was our entry in the
PSSA Junior Club competition. It received a
score of 32 out of 45.
The three October judges were Haig Fourie
from Vanderbijlpark Fotografiese Vereniging,
Nicci van As, who is Independent and Muriel
Joubert from Randburg Photo Club.
