Winner PDI – Open (Begin-
ner) Daybreak by Andre
Mouton (27). An excellent
image! The author suc-
ceeded in combining a sil-
houette in low light with
movement of the subject.
It is just in the right posi-
tion with the glow of the
rising sun!

Winner PDI – Open (Mas-
ter) Virgin Red by Kim Ste-
vens (28). This is a high
impact image with striking
colours and strong lines
drawing the viewer right
down to the bottom of the
staircase. The soft blue win-
dow frame complements
the image.

Winner PDI – Open (Ad-
vanced) Tranquility amidst
the storm by Kumar Para-
masivam (27). The long
exposure is used very ef-
fectively with strong lines
and circles leading us into
the scene. The soft pink
colours in the cloudy sky
reflecting on the water en-
hances the image.
