Set subject: Street photography

The competition was judged by Evelyn Gibson from Centurion who is a member of the Pretoria
Photographic Society as well as being the director of the PSSA responsible for public relations.
Evelyn joined CTPS last month and we welcome her to our Society and look forward to her
participation in CTPS activities, reports LESLEY PAROLIS. There were a record 127 entries into
the competition this month, which took a sterling effort from her to score and comment on in
good time.
The CTPS entries into the PSSA monthly competition for April were: Portrait of the
King by Pat Scott (Senior Entry) and Standing alone by Paramasivam Saravanakumar
(Junior Entry).

Below are the winners in the various categories together with the judge’s comments.

Winner PDI - Set (Salon) Now say thank you by Steff Hughes (29).
An excellent image with a beautiful story attached to it. The con-
version to mono is excellent and works well.

Winner PDI - Set (Advanced) Sharing a happy moment by
Mireille Landman (28). A lovely image that has a strong
impact and is captured just at the right moment in time.
