Winner PDI – Open (Advanced) The Greeting Ritual by Bill Ken-
nedy (27). A well captured nature image with lovely detail in
the geese and the water splash. The background is a little dis-
tracting and by cropping off some of the top reeds, will help.
Winner PDI – Open (Beginner) Water skiing fun by Sally-Ann
Spooner (23). A lovely action/sport photo. The subject is sharp
with nice animation on his face. The image feels however imbal-
anced with the crop just above the feet, rather try cropping a
little further up the legs. The background is busy and bright in
places, I suggest to darken the background, especially the white
roofs of the huts.
Winner PDI – Open (Advanced) Misty Sossus morning by Di-
eter Butow (27). The light, shadows and lines all work well
together to make this a striking landscape image.
