Johan is the winner in the PSSA

Junior Club competition ... and
John is best in the Western Cape!

The CTPS entry in the August PSSA Junior Club
competition, Come fly with me (left) by Johan
Walden, was judged to be the best image en-
tered by all the clubs who entered the junior
monthly competition. Johan captured this selfie
in an authentic, restored, Tiger Moth biplane,
which is still flying. He also borrowed the helmet
and goggles from the owner, which contributed
to this superb image that prompted judge Laeti-
tia Kenny to award him the top score in the Jun-
ior section of the Set Subject (portraits) category.

Four CTPS members now PSSA directors
This year the required number of national PSSA directors were
nominated and no election needed to be held. CTPS member
Trudi du Toit therefore joined the PSSA Board. She previously
served as chair of the Archives Portfolio and as member of the
Marketing Committee, chaired by Nicol du Toit. He currently
serves as the Western Cape Regional Director and as the PSSA 2nd
Vice-President. PSSA PRO Evelyn Gibson is also a CTPS member
and is responsible for the PSSA Facebook page, and serves on
the marketing committee and Exco. Francois Roux, another CTPS
member, is PSSA Secretary and Treasurer and serves in various
committees and as an Exco member.
