CTPS members receive Honours

at PSSA Banquet

One of our members was awarded Honorary PSSA membership and several

received their LPSSA, DPSSA and APSSA certificates during the Honours Banquet
that traditionally ends the PSSA Congress. Photos by Sydney Truter

CTPS member Evelyn Gibson (left with PSSA president Simon
Fletcher) was the recipient of the rare Honorary PSSA distinction
for her years of service to the society. She has served as PRO for
many years and adds this honorary title to all the other distinc-
tions she received over the years.
Nicol du Toit (below) was awarded Associate membership of
PSSA (APSSA) for a colour panel of 15 images he submitted. Lea-
Anne Alexander (below right) was elected a Licentiate member
of PSSA (LPSSA) for a colour panel of 10 images that met the re-
quirements of the prestigious Honours Judging panel.
Honours certificates are only presented in person to members
who attend the PSSA Honours Banquet at the national congress.
That is why many recipients who are unable to attend the full con-
gress make a special effort to attend the Honours event.
The members who were unable to attend this banquet will, how-
ever, receive their certificates closer to home.

Salon honours in future to be
announced with panel honours
From next year recipients of Salon Hon-
ours (diamond ratings, DPSSA, EPSSA
etc.) will be notified as soon as their ap-
plications succeed, but the results will be
announced and published on the PSSA
website twice a year with the panel hon-
ours.
Below are the DPSSA recipients at con-
gress. Nicol had to make three trips to
the podium to receive DPSSA Mono,
DPSSA(Cls) and DPSSA(Vers) for DPSSA
in print, mono and colour. Trudi du Toit
received a DPSSA colour certificate.
