Winning images from February
Set subject: Shadows
The competition was judged by Geoff Feldon from Westville Camera Club in KZN. The
theme required photographers to be creative when observing shadows, and the top scor-
ing images were either very creative or told a good story. Geoff said he particularly enjoyed
judging our images and was impressed by the artistic nature of many of the images, reports
LESLEY PAROLIS.
The CTPS entries into the PSSA monthly competition for February were Night manag-
er by Roger Trythall (Senior Entry) and Lonely ship by Walther Berndorfler (Junior Entry).
Below are the winners in the various categories together with the judge’s comments.
Set Subject
Winner PDI – Set (Master) Shadow Tree by Kim Stevens (27). The
way the shadow of the tree falls on the wall creates a very dif-
ferent perspective and the colours add to the interest but are
subtle enough not to distract from the shadow.
Winner PDI – Set (Beginner) Shadow Runner by Sally-Ann
Spooner (20). The shadow of the running person leaves one
Winner PDI – Set (Advanced) Floral Ghosts by Mireille Landman guessing as to exactly what is happening and viewers can make
