Winner PDI – Open (Salon) Patterns in the sandy pathway by
Jean Bradshaw (29). Extremely well seen. The conversion into
mono is very well done. The ripples on the bottom lead the eye
into the image and to the pathway. The little piece of sky at the
top and the details in the sand make this an excellent image.

Winner PDI – Set (Intermediate) Catch me if you can by Shaun
Fautley (22). A very nice action shot that depicts the scenario
very well. A better crop would have improved it because the
square crop doesn’t work here.

Open Subject

Joint Winner PDI – Open (Beginner) Porch with a View by Joyce
Goldschmidt (23). Very well seen and a very well handled im-
age. The light is also well handled and it has a 3D feeling about
Joint Winner PDI – Open (Advanced) Mountain Mist by Brian it.
Jones (27). The image is very sharp and the different layers of
mist between the trees create an eerie feeling but also an emo-
tional response of tranquillity. It is pin-sharp with lovely gentle
colours.
