Shifting Sands

Talk by Kyle Goetsch on 18 May at 19h00

Over the past year, I’ve travelled extensively in Namibia during
the rainy season. Seeing the environment change from arid
wastelands to green oasis and golden grasses has left an im-
pression on me. The ability of this desolate landscape to change
completely due to shifting weather patterns is something I’ve
tried to document through my photography and will be pre-
senting to you.
From the Namib desert sands reclaiming the abandoned ghost
towns of Elizabeth Bay and Kolmanskop, to water filling the
pans in the desert and the rare lilies of Namibia. Let me take you
on a visual journey of the constantly shifting sands of Namibia.
