On the cover
Before traveling to New York many years ago, a friend said to me: "Just remember to look
UP". It was great advice and I've continued to use it whenever I am in a city.
I took this image while on a CTPS walkabout at the CTICC. I had taken all the images I
wanted inside the CTICC and was walking towards the restaurant where we were going
to meet up for lunch, and this sight presented itself to me. The light was shining on the
buildings adjacent to the walkway and casting a beautiful reflection on the glass win-
dows. I moved around until I got the best composition. I saw the little blue rectangle, and
initially, it bothered me, but then I realised that it provided a good anchor point for the
composition. I really enjoy the combination of manmade shapes and grids with the flow-
ing lines complementing them.
Taken with my Fuji X-T2 and the 50 - 140 lens, I did basic adjustments in Lightroom and
then ran it through Nik ColorFx to enhance the colour contrast and details. Steff Hughes.
