Cape Camera September 2024
Winner PDI - Set (Advanced) Frozen in Time by Joyce Goldschmidt (27). A most attractive
image that is based on a beautiful con-cept. The soft, gentle and stunning colours and the
striations in the ice structure, and which look like stalagmites or stalactites, create a feeling of
a decorative piece of art that can easily be displayed on a wall.
Winner PDI - Set (Intermediate) Glacier Iceland by Melanie Black (23). Presumably taken
from a plane or a drone, this image provides a spectacular view and an idea of how large
these glaciers can be. A lack of details is due to the pre-vailing haziness. It also lacks contrast
and texture which could be improved in Photoshop. Also try and convert this image into
black & white for more impact.
