PSSA Junior entry and Winner PDI — Open (Beginner): Flying High by Gavin Kle-
vansky (27). A great action shot that is sharp, and well exposed and designed by allowing
the kite’s stays to begin at the top right-hand corner. Being able to see the face of the kite
surfer adds to the general impact of the image.

Below are the winners in the Set Subject category with the judges' comments.

Winner PDI - Set (Advanced) On the other side by Rainer Clauss (22). A totally different
image that shows considerable creative thinking. The author could have gone closer to the
subject but being able to recognise the human forms makes this a successful and enjoyable
image. Exposure and texture are also managed very well.
