Set subject: People at Work

The judges for the competition were Jane Bursey of Creative Camera Club for the Set Subject PDIs
and all the prints, and Rob Heffer of Port Elizabeth Camera Club for the Open category PDIs.

Entries into the monthly PSSA Competition:

The senior entry for June was Early morning Namibrand landscape by Lambe Parolis and
the junior entry was Spitzkoppe at sunset by Simon Mouton

Below are the winners in the Set Subject category with the judges' comments..

Winner PDI – Set (Salon) Post House Barman by John Alexander (26). A very engaging image. The conversion into black and white
works very well because the busy background would have been a distraction, whereas here it allows the eye to concentrate on the
barman and his work - all sharp and perfectly lit. Very well thought through and executed. Perhaps a slight crop on the left would
have further added to this excellent image.
