Winner Print – Set (Master) West coast fisherman at dawn by Anna Engelhardt (25). A lovely image with beautiful colours and reflec-
tions in the sea. The men and the boat in silhouette works extremely well against the rising sun. Excellent separation between the
people and the boat. A well seen and well composed image. Pity about the slight burn-out in the sky and sun.
Winner PDI – Set (Advanced) Benin Fisherman by Roger Trythall (26). A very pleasing and attractive image. The conversion into black
and white has increased the drama in the sky that highlights the conditions in which a fisherman will do his work. The exposure
is well-handled although the light at the top is a little too bright. The net against the sky is well defined, and having the fisherman
and his boat captured in semi-silhouette adds to the image. I suggest a slightly tighter crop all round.
