Winner PDI – Set (Intermediate) Teamwork by Mike Stricker (26). The first impression is of an overly busy image until one has a closer
look at the individual images of this collage. It certainly depicts many people at work. The eye follows the worker in the red cap
carrying a board, another board being lifted up the scaffolding in the middle and ending with painting taking place on the right.
Photographically, the image is sharp and well taken with the whites all well-handled and without hardly any blow-outs. Perhaps
using fewer images would have improved the image further.

Winner PDI – Set (Beginner) Band in KwaLange by Randall Crisp (23). A very engaging and well seen image that draws the viewer
into the story. The main person in the centre in a bright red jacket is very sharp, even his playing hands. The other players in the
background add to it but the eyes return back to the person in the middle. Although it was taken in a busy area, the red cap and
the beige jacket on the left side of the frame as well as the bright white area at the top are slightly intrusive and should have been
taken out or cropped off.
