Below are the winners in the Open category with the judges' comments..

Winner PDI – Open (Intermediate) Spitzkoppe at sunset by Simon Mouton (30). The lighting, the composition and the
details in the image are absolutely stunning. It is an exceptional image and everything is perfect.

Winner Print – Open (Intermediate) Beauty by Liesl Walden (25). Beautfully captured image with lovely details. The colour
palette in this image is spectacular, with the colours of the flowers in the background complimenting those of the but-
terfly. The depth of field is handled very well with the background being just slightly un-sharp to give prominence to the
butterfly. Perhaps crop off slightly from the left hand side to get rid of the very dark details.
