Cape Camera April 2024

PSSA Junior entry and Winner PDI Set (Beginner): We are just wind by Ansie du Toit (26).
This is a mesmerizing image with the movement being presumably achieved in camera. It looks
like moving leaves or fireflies. It works well in black and white but would suggest toning down
the highlights and bringing up the shadows slightly. .

Below are the winners in the Set Subject category with the judges' comments.

Winner PDI - Set (Advanced): Out of Space by Joyce Goldschmidt (24). A great abstract image
that highlights its shapes, lines and contours which were perfect for a conversion into Mono,
however the blacks and whites could have been pushed even further. Also suggest cropping out
the two blocks at the bottom of the centre column..
