CTPS to enjoy and spend in some meaningful way. In Septem-
ber 2017, I was persuaded to take over the position of presiden-
cy from Nicol du Toit, which will come to an end in September
this year. My personal photography gained a lot from attend-
ing JAP lectures throughout 2015 and 2016. Entering Salons I
also found exciting and stretched me beyond our club environ-
          ment.
The things I have appreciated most about CTPS over the years
are the outings, and I have had the privilege to have planned
and led 32 of them - reminiscent of what I did for so many years
in the Scout Movement. So photography now fills my retire-
ment days, together with golf, climbing, gardening and family.
Thank you for the pleasure and the opportunity, Cape Town
          Photographic Society.
