Winner PDI – Open (Beginner) A perfect reflection by Joyce
Goldschmidt (23). This image is a wonderful study in symme-
try and shape! A well-seen photograph and cleverly captured. Crazy leaves by Geatan Manual (26)
The lines, shapes and curves, coupled with an almost mono-
tone palette, allows the image to straddle the line of abstract.
Because of this, the lean of the buildings enhances the graphic
impression rather than detract from the rules of upright build-
ing lines. Perhaps also consider a slight twist of angle to allow
for more level horizontal lines along the top? I am not sure if a
tripod was used, but would recommend the use of one so that
a deeper depth of field could be achieved, making it sharper
all the way to the top of the structure. Watch your exposure, as
some blowouts have occurred on the white uprights on the left
side of the image. Another advantage of the tripod would be an
easier use of the bracketing technique to control your exposure.
Good effort and I enjoy this image
