Winner PDI - Set (Advanced) Gap by Johan van Wyk (24). A very nice image of a typical rugby scene with the photographer being
well positioned to catch the gap between the players. It is sharp and the rather busy background is pleasingly out of focus not to
distract from the action in front.

Winner PDI – Open (Salon) Set Fire to the Rain by Rudi Pothas (28). An outstanding image taken in a quiver tree forest with beauti-
ful colours and good composition. The tree in the centre with its nest is very dominant but is counter-balanced by the triangle of
smaller trees on either side. The dark base at the bottom allows the eye to travel upwards through the image to the magnificent
sky which rounds off a wonderful landscape picture.
