Winner PDI – Set (Intermediate) Morning twilight by Heiko Denker (24). A great mood is created by the backlighting of this tranquil
scene which instantly transports the viewer to the bush! The silhouettes of the zebras have been captured at the right moment,
separated and in mid-stride. The sun is very bright and dominant in the image and perhaps a few minutes earlier the dynamic
range would have been easier to work with.

Winner PDI – Set (Advanced) Bateleur 1 by Johan van Wyk (26). It is very difficult to lock focus and produce a pin-sharp image of
the head of an incoming bird, which has been achieved superbly! The splash of red on the beak and the talons form a triangle that
frames the subject and the movement in the wings gives the image energy. A very well executed image.
