Winner PDI – Set (Advanced) Sugarbird 1 by Johan Van Wyk (25). A well-composed
and sharp image with beautiful soft colours of the flowers that don’t compete with
those of the bird. The background is gentle, soft and unobtrusive, A well balanced and
pleasing image.

Winner PDI – Set (Advanced) Darter flight by Tony Edmunds (25). One of the most difficult
birds to photograph and this image is one of perfection - from exposure to composition and
sharpness. Because of the details in the feathers, it also lends itself perfectly to a conversion
into monochrome.
