Set subject: Moods and Emotions
The judges for January were Steffne Hughes for the Set subject PDIs and all prints and
Leon Jacobs APSSA, LPSSA(Vers), EPSSA(Mille-Premium), DPSSA(Cls-Vers) for the Open
PDIs. CTPS member Steffne is an experienced judge, who is an accredited JAP judge.
Leon, chairperson of the Vereeniging Photographic Society and former PSSA director,
was highly recommended as an experienced judge.
Entries in the monthly PSSA Competition:
The Senior Entry for February was A misty morning in Tuscany by Francois Retief
(See p26 for comments). The Junior Entry was Look at Me Now by Gavin Klevansky

Winner PDI – Open (Beginner): Look at Me Now by Gavin Klevansky (25). The judge comment-
ed: A well composed image with a lot of impact as it is sharp, colourful and full of detail, said the
judge. It could, however, gain by being less bright.
