Winner PDI – Open (Advanced) Zebra gallop by Tony Edmunds (28).
Francois Oosthuysen described it as 'A well captured and sharp action shot that works very well in black and
white. The shallow depth of field adds to the attractiveness of the image as it makes the water spray droplets stand
          out prominently.
Tony Edmunds commented: This image was taken late in the day, just after 7PM, during a very wet and rainy period
in Etosha. Zebras were plentiful and appeared to enjoy and have no problems walking through water filled pans.
Occasionally they galloped through the water, providing me with opportunities like the image of this zebra splash-
ing through the water on the Pan.

Winner PDI – Open (Intermediate) The Regal Kudu by Tom Gosh (25).

Francois Oosthuysen commented: A well captured image that was taken in difficult light conditions, which were
well managed. It is sharp with good details, colours and a soft background. The crop is a bit too tight at the bottom.
Tom Gosh says: It was10am in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, I was at the water hole and the regal kudu just ar-
rived for a drink. While trying to capture the water drops as he raised his head from drinking, he moved away and
literally posed and stared at me. I was thrilled and my thought was please stay for the shoot.
